What is East Indian Head Massage? |
|
History Over 4000 years old and originally done by Hindi Shaman, Indian Head Massage became part of the Indian tradition and was done primarily on male children from infancy until adulthood.
Originally performed just on the head, the technique was adapted by a man named Narendra Mehta when he moved from India to England and discovered the lack of massage offered.
Traditionally called CHAMPI which translates to HEAD MASSAGE, Mehta added to the protocol neck, shoulders and upper back creating what is taught today in England as Champissage. |
